We offer two important features with the interactive system!  Firstly auto control from the “low battery alarm” on the inverter. Secondly a feature where dedicated outlets are connected directly to the generator. With this feature the interactive generator control provides for two power circuits one connected directly to the inverter/charger (non sensed supply) and the second circuit (sensed) to those dedicated DSM (demand start module) outlets.

It is suggested the generator is not used as a “backup” only generator it better used for appliances and equipment where excessive wattages are used. Appliances such as those used for short periods, particularly hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, pressure pumps these can be connected to these DSM outlets. How does the DSM circuit operate?  Simply plugin to one of the dedicated outlets and the generator will automatically start, stopping after the load is withdrawn.

Importantly during this usage your inverter/charger has also provided valuable charging to your system. Use of the interactive system for high wattage appliances such as an oven, vacuum cleaner, electric space heater, hot water boosters, mix master, blender, dishwasher, washing machine or even general workshop machinery is always possible.

The fact you have adequate power at any time for the unexpected allows a less expensive more modest deep-cycle-battery-bank which can be used for the many low wattage appliances used in the modern home. Appliances and equipment such as computers, printers, TV and audio, clocks, radios, alarm systems, fans, sewage pumps, small cooking appliances, refrigerators, freezers and lighting are available at anytime day or night. You can virtually eliminate the need for storing energy in large battery banks! If natural resources are low simply rely on your INTERACTIVE SYSTEM designed for simplicity and at a lower cost!

Because smaller sized deep-cycle-batteries are used in these systems the initial outlay can be far less because you never store more energy than your average needs.

An inexpensive, fully automatic generator controller. Powergaurd gen-set control and Interactive inverter/ charger will charge your batteries more often, reducing the daily depth of discharge and/ or increasing their lifetime expectancy. This system is a more reliable option for your household and maintains your flooded deep-cycle-batteries at optimum levels.
 
 All too often "deep-cycle-batteries" are sized to run all aplliances and as soon as there is not enough available input from Solar or Wind the flooded deep-cycle-batteries become too low on power. Then a "generator" is required to re-charge the deep-cycle-batteries, costing you fuel and losing system efficiency. Deep-cycle-batteries (ageing), efficiency drops off too, gradually increasing the amount of charge or input required to maintain a desired "State of Charge"(S.O.C).

 Designing "Switched System" or "Parallel System" is easier with a Demand Start Module, and a "more user friendly option" for your customer.

Buying deep-cycle-batteries for energy hungry appliances can be a waste, and relying on good weather patterns this can be even less reliable. An inadequate storage or system management could mean you having to instruct visitors and others on how to overcome the embarrassing or inefficiency of your system overall.

Running your generator intermittently on a daily basis (short term) is a benefit and is excellent for the battery reserves. Running your generator monthly often "under-loaded" can damage both generator and your battery reserves. Using a quality generator with this form of control it does not add to cost when programmed correctly.
